It’s true the Queen didn’t “stomp out in a huff” or whatever, but she was definitely upset at the request and I thought, having seen the video now, that AL sounded less-than-thoughtful and, well, tasteless in her request. Whether or not we agree with the idea of royalty, the Queen in England has certain “rules” of treatment and ettiquette–AL chose to do what she wanted rather than working within the “rules.” I think if she had been more deferential, called her “Ma’am” (sounds like “mum” almost), etc., this would never have happened.
I think this serves as a good reminder that people have to work WITH other people and if you choose to take a gig with certain weird rules, do it within those rules, or just take a pass on the gig.

All is not as it seems. I thought this sounded like a rank mistake that Leibovitz was way too professional to make.
