PicScout you’ve heard me mention before. Now there are more companies developing similar tools to track images on the web. Here’s one such company–idéeinc. With tools like these, many of the Orphan Works issues will become less threatening.

I am testing the Tineye.com beta system (Ideeinc) at the moment and I encourage as many other photographers to do the same. It will help them to motivate them to increase the image library and accuracy of the searches. Still in its infancy, it needs some growth. It has not found any images I have searched which are and have been on the web for years.
