Weddings anyone?

If you’re a wedding photographer or thinking about adding it to your repertoire, then you should read this Wharton Business School (UPenn) article about a new book on the wedding industry (in general). It sounds fascinating–and if it doesn’t help you think big (and maybe raise your prices), then nothing will.

  1. Great article and great advice…the more you value your work and charge for it the more in demand you seem to become. Of course your work must back up the price tag…although I could point to examples within the wedding market that disprove that as well!

We raised our prices and still are booking more…we also brought on associates to shoot at previous price points so that we could keep those referrals. Brand loyalty has become huge and in an industry that is all about the referral…viral marketing is key!

The wedding world isn’t all easy money though…the workflow and time commitment extend far beyond just shooing the wedding itself! j@emilieinc.com

Thanks for the great blog Leslie!
